I use the parallel passage feature for bible translations a little bit.
I would love to see the same feature only for commentaries. That is, i would like to see ALL the commentary notes for the verse I'm looking at shown in one long window (excluding of course the commentaries that have nothing for that verse).
This is, I think, a better alternative to my comments here.
And here is a short video showing my process and what i have tried.
Thanks again!

I think that's somewhat good idea. Maybe list view would show just starting of the commentary text, and clicking it would be main way to access commentary itself.
Tip: I see from your video that you could utilize window pinning in your commentary workflow. See Help & tips from main menu to get the idea.
And yes, only showing a certain number of characters would solve the problem of a very long window. If that were configurable it would be ideal. Most commentaries I use are fairly short - usually less than half a phone screen. But Henry's commentary is always huge.
Oh, it's possible that having to click in to see the full commentary might have the same pain that the search window does - that it loses the last place you had scrolled to. That might defeat the point a bit for me - I am looking for an easy (or rather lazy) way to read all the commentaries.
In the meantime, the following is working OK.
