Welcome to the x11-rs wiki!

This is a WIP, so expect "errors". This is just a random brain dump at the moment.

Roadmap: Created this as a placeholder for various issues pertaining to upgrading the codebase, and tackling issues that would likely come up.

Currently we have a min version of rust 1.24.1. To workaround we introduced a crate which allows for a safe fallback in older versions of rust. This is considered an interim measure which will be removed in future, along with other code upgrades and fixes, but it will likely also necessitate bumping of the minimum version needed. Dicussion on workaround for MaybeUninit

My aim with the wiki is to have a central place to bring issues and ideas discussed together, and have a more streamlined approach to the process of upgrading this code base.
