export component class by default

There are challenges with how we currently keep our class internal and also define the element in the HTML within the same file.

Describe the solution you'd like

Export the class definition by default and allow users to redefine the registration as needed. See the following commits for more details.

This issue will be resolved when...

1. the individual class of a new component is exported by default
2. the installation process is updated to allow users the ability to redefine the component and extend if needed
3. the consuming user has optional control over browser registration
