Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Fix

This is a fix for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance that adds ultrawide/narrow display support, graphical tweaks and much more.

Features

  • Remove pillarboxing/letterboxing.
  • Correct FOV at any resolution.
  • Centered 16:9 HUD.
  • Skip intro logos.
  • Enable developer console.
  • Remove 60FPS cap in menus.
  • Adjustable resolution scale (screen percentage).
  • Enable TAA.

Installation

  • Grab the latest release of SMTVFix from here.
  • Extract the contents of the release zip in to the the game folder. e.g. ("steamapps\common\SMT5V" for Steam).

Steam Deck/Linux Additional Instructions

🚩You do not need to do this if you are using Windows!

  • Open up the game properties in Steam and add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="dsound=n,b" %command% to the launch options.

Configuration

  • See SMTVFix.ini to adjust settings for the fix.

Known Issues

Please report any issues you see. This list will contain bugs which may or may not be fixed.

  • Some HUD backgrounds do not span to fill the screen.
  • Some UI prompts display visual errors outside 16:9 boundaries.
