The PulseAudio for Mac OS X project is about bringing PulseAudio to Mac OS X.
Currently, you need at least Mac OS X in version 10.6. Both i386
(32bit) and x86_64
(64bit) architectures are supported.
For binary packages, go to the project's download page at GitHub. If you want to build your own binaries from the sources, please see the instructions.

The HAL Plugin offers a virtual sound interface to all users of Mac OS X' native CoreAudio sound system. See its Wiki page for detailed information.
-
The PreferencePane is an extension to the commonly known System Preferences application in Mac OS X. See its Wiki page for detailed information.
-
PulseAudioHelper is a background daemon that can show a system bar item, keeps track of the preferences and displays Growl notifications, if wanted.
This software package is work in progress, so problems and bugs are absolutely possibly to occur. If you believe you found an issue, consider filing a bug in the project's bug tracker. If you are a programmer and want to share patches and improvements, please do so, and join the conversation on the PulseAudio mailing list (posting requires subscription).
Please check out the PulseAudio website.
