with this gem is possible to use markdown text stored in db?

maybe? I didn't write that feature explicitly. If you want it, i would make it a seperate gem, maybe maildown_db or something?

Yep, I think can be useful for many things, github comments for example, are written and stored in markdown but are also sent via email. In my case allow users to send emails written with a markdown editor, so need to store it in markdown then transform to be sent.
