Does miniDP and HDMI not work under 10.14? #10

HDMI does not work because it is wired to Nvidia card. I'm not sure in regards of the miniDP. I don't have one with me right now so I was not able to test. If it doesn't work and you really need an external monitor you can use a usb-c to HDMI adapter, which works |
@zacmks Wait really? I thought everything is connected to the iGPU and it acts as a passthrough for the dGPU too. Isn't that how the setup is required to be for Optimus to work? |
The Nvidia GPU has a muxed setup on Aero, that's why it even work for us on HDMI with proper drivers. The muxless setup (in contrast with our muxed setup) usually does not work with hackintosh laptops at all. |
This means that we are very luck that Nvidia Card works on our laptop (even though it works only on High Sierra due to lack of drivers). The side effect is that since it's hardware wired. If we don't get the proper drivers, it could make some ports unusable (as far as I could test with my setup). |
@ivmm None of your screenshots show up btw |
10.14 can work, 10.13 can't work, can't install |
Are the Aero 15's miniDP and HDMI output from 1060 cards? 10.14 The external display cannot be expanded after installation.
However, if the EFI of the release is applied to the installation of 10.13, the following will be prompted:
