Normally, do these (that's why the checklist is there). But here, first read #30839 properly, which covers your issue.

I read #30839 and initially did not see how it addresses the reported issue. then I started looking at the known issues and saw my report was a duplicate of the uploader id issue. I also saw numerous other reports of the same. so many people are missing this. Please, consider making your instructions more explicit, so that people can get to the original report, which shows a closed/solved.

2. if necessary, search for your error message using the guidance there, which in this case should also lead to the master issue [YouTube] Unable to extract uploader id #31530.

Currently, that issue is # 1 in the list of open issues sorted by "Recently updated".
