not just an issue with the style, but already in the basic proposal, "side" should allow a value like "middle" or "front" for signs at T-intersections that are placed such that they are right in front of you across the through road when you drive down the road that terminates at the intersection. (Also for dead-end roads with a sign that terminates the road)
