Settings does not save when using betterfox

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

I have attempted the following troubleshooting suggestions:

• The issue persists when using Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode.
• Disabled DNS-level content blocking (AdGuard Home, NextDNS, Control D, RethinkDNS, PiHole, etc), cleared my DNS cache, and used my ISP's DNS resolver (if applicable).
• Cleared website data, restarted Firefox, and my issue persists.
• I have created a new profile. The issue persists when using the current user.js file on GitHub. (Must be in a new profile and a new user.js!)

Describe the bug
Settings does not save when using betterfox user.js and after restarting firefox, it goes to the default ones.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
create a new profile
copy betterfox user.js to the root directory of that profile
now try to save settings, it will go to the default option when firefox is restarted

Expected behavior
settings should save

System information

• OS: Windows 10 22h2, Archlinux
• Browser: firefox
• Version: 128.0 64-bit

If settings aren't being applied, that means there's a syntax issue somewhere in your document.

Double-check that he user.js isn't saved as user.js.txt or something like that, too.

NO, user.js is not saved with any other format
I tried with a fresh betterfox user.js and in both windows and linux some settings are not saving, like when I change appearance from automatic to dark, it turns to automatic after restarting firefox, same for the save files option.
Some settings do get save.
