PDF parses empty instead of text #510

I have a PDF that this gem is not able to parse. It gives no text, when there is text. It's not an OCR thing; I can see that other libraries can read it, like Python's PyPDF2. Is this something this gem is interested in fixing?

Is this gem maintained or are there alternatives suggested to use?
