Currently, the computer player doesn't need to adhere to the rules of the game but can just place any card, ignoring the costs (this is also the reason why potency comes in a "human" and a "computer" variant).
This makes it easier to create a computer strategy.
On the other hand, it might be fun at some point to have computer strategies that must adhere to all the rules, where the competition between human and computer player would be more realistic.
