Possibility for adding cursor trail in Wezterm?

Is it possible to add a cursor trail effect on Wezterm when moving the cursor? This would make it easy for someone to trace the cursor's position.

Such functionality is already in Neovide and the PR for the latest Kitty release.

In the meantime, I personally setup smear-cursor.nvim plugin on neovim to have this behavior on any terminal ;)
(note: I think it'll actually better than generic terminal support, because it can reason in buffer-space and is not limited to screen space, downside is of course it's only in neovim...)

I tried this plugin days before, and it is amazing, while in some cases, it still flickers and looks wired :(
