I have a widescreen monitor (12:5). However, most livestream viewers want to watch in 16:9. Therefore, I use a BetterDisplay virtual display when I livestream. I would like to streamline things by having "stream setup" / "stream teardown" shortcuts to launch various applications, position windows, etc. However, a key part of this would be telling BetterDisplay to activate the virtual display before launching OBS, but I cannot find any way to do this automatically.

(Is this in the giant list of DDC commands I could send with "Send DDC command"? I confess I have not tried all of them.)

You can activate the virtual screen using CLI.

Here are some examples:

(note: you can use -connected=on and off to connect/disconnect a virtual screen)

Thanks! I realized I was misunderstanding the CLI and figured this out, came back here to post the update, and saw you'd already updated it :). It would still be great to have this exposed as a shortcut but this certainly works for now!

I will add it to Shortcuts (App Intents) along with many other stuff.
