can't join LAN games anymore

the problem is constant.
i can host games on my bot, and people can join my games unless they are trying 
to join on LAN. i cannot even join my own games on LAN

i am using version 17.1 on windows 7

i have tried turning off my firewalls(which i dont believe should do 
anything)and i still cannot join my own games. I was able to join my own games 
a couple of months ago, and when i tried recently with the same setup it did 
not work.
