EPUB Dictionaries and Glossaries is an IDPF Recommended Specification from 2015. What do we know about implementations and use in actual live content?

We do not support, and as far as I know have never seen one in the wild.

I think we should preserve the descriptive vocabulary which is very useful for publishers' internal production workflows because it offers a standard way of specialized semantic tagging in the HTML format. Of course, we don't have a direct influence on its implementation by RS developers. So I would not invest time in the further extension of this spec now, but also not drop it forever.

I have never seen a reader which implements it or a document which uses it.
