COGA TF appreciates NAUR’s inclusion of “especially those with cognitive and learning disabilities” in all the user needs, but we recommend being more specific by focusing on functional needs.
Instead of repeating the phrase “cognitive and learning disabilities” which covers a broad range of needs, describe specific functional needs.
Example: In the context of NAUR, supporting an aging individual with dementia may be very different from supporting a young adult with down syndrome or someone who has aphasia/language disorder after a stroke.
COGA TF can help replace generic descriptions with more specific ones, or look at the examples used in Making Content Usable.
