[Added on behalf of COGA TF]

COGA TF appreciates NAUR’s inclusion of “especially those with cognitive and learning disabilities” in all the user needs, but we recommend being more specific by focusing on functional needs.

  • Instead of repeating the phrase “cognitive and learning disabilities” which covers a broad range of needs, describe specific functional needs.
    • Example: In the context of NAUR, supporting an aging individual with dementia may be very different from supporting a young adult with down syndrome or someone who has aphasia/language disorder after a stroke.
  • COGA TF can help replace generic descriptions with more specific ones, or look at the examples used in Making Content Usable.

I like the idea of linking to examples in the Making Content Usable doc.

Can we get some suggestions as to what would be suitable examples to include?
