Apologies I am quite new to linux but I installed as instructed with the monetary theme and it seems to have no effect at all? I tried the manual but I am unable to locate the chrome folder. I have also updated ubuntu and restarted many times.

For reference, you can find your Firefox profile folder by typing about:support into the URL bar.
If you haven't installed a theme previously, Firefox won't have a chrome folder in your profile.
You could either copy it in, ensuring that you enable the setting toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets in about:config (set to true), or diagnose the installer with Vince's comment!

Here is the output:

Installing` 'Monterey' Firefox theme...

./install.sh: line 48: flatpak: command not found
Done! 'Monterey' Firefox theme has been installed.

FIREFOX: Please go to [Firefox menu] > [Customize...], and customize your Firefox to make it work. Move your 'new tab' button to the titlebar instead of tab-switcher.

FIREFOX: Anyways, you can also edit 'userChrome.css' and 'customChrome.css' later in your Firefox profile directory.

It seems to be fine as this was the same output as the video that I was copying this from where their Firefox changed instantly.

Same problem, manually fixed.

I'm using the Flatpak version, so the install script put the config in the chrome folder here:

$HOME/.var/app/org.mozilla.firefox/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default-release/

But for whatever reason, Menu > Help > More troubleshooting information shows my profile is here:

$HOME/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default-release/

I copied the chrome folder contents to the right profile, and now it's working.
