1. sudo apt-get update
2. sudo apt-get install git-core curl zlib1g-dev build-essential libssl-dev libreadline-dev libyaml-dev libsqlite3-dev sqlite3 libxml2-dev libxslt1-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev python-software-properties
3. wget http://ftp.ruby-lang.org/pub/ruby/2.1/ruby-2.1.5.tar.gz
4. tar -xzvf ruby-2.1.5.tar.gz
5. cd ruby-2.1.5/
6. ./configure
7. make
8. sudo make install
9. ruby -v
Installing Rails
1. gem install rails
2. rails -v

Setting Up MySQL
1. sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client libmysqlclient-dev
Final Steps

rails new wordpad -d mysql
###Download
1. mkdir work_space
2. cd work_space
3. git clone https://github.com/vidurpunj/wordpad.git
# Move into the application directory
cd wordpad
# Create the database
rake db:create
#MIgrate the dabavase
rake db:migrate
rails server
Now visit http://localhost:3000 to view your new website!
