Install vibe.d on /usr/local/share/vibe/, create a Menu entry for the new vibe.d documentation, update "vibe.conf" to the new "user/group" fields, include a help screen, use "www-data" as "user/group" if in Debian like system.

Wow, looks like the setup script gets really comfortable. I'll test it on my linux (virtual-)boxes now.

Why does it force creation of $DEBIAN_USER? Install scripts should not be biased towards certain distributions.

Does it? The intention should be to use any existing "www-data" user/group and only create "www-vibe" otherwise. I didn't test this though, yet.

Hm, ye, have re-read script and resign my objections. Hate bash syntax :)
