I have a interactive project where user upload their picture and manupulate face and animate it but when we try to do this due to HMR page reloads and whole user data is losted. I am trying very hard to prevent HMR not getting way to prevent it. you can check this http://www.only4laugh.com/create/jokes/world_record

I think react refresh can help this, checkout #12008
