Summary

User reviews in testing:

  • Search bar was unclear; keywords would help to better organize content and improve usability of search bar.
  • Dropdown does not automatically expand when navigating to a page from search (hard to understand where you are)
  • Search bar needs better keywords; some pages are very hard to find
  • Search bar is tricky to find the info needed; easier to filter by DPG Standard instead of battling the search
  • Pressing “Enter” on the search bar didn’t do the right thing, i.e. going to a page

Keywords were added to all existing content in the UNICEF Open Source Inventory via commit unicef/inventory@547525c in PR unicef/inventory#136. However, the user experience around the search bar could still be improved with the feedback from the original user story. Keeping this open, but moving it to the backlog for future review.
