As of July 5th, UDOT installed version 4.3 on our production website at: https://udottraffic.utah.gov/atspm. Since then, we have been working on a few bugs and have just about everything working really well. Before we release it on GitHub we need to fix one more bug (that will take us just a few days to fix). In addition, we need to provide deployment instructions and a seeding script as enough of the database structure has changed so others can successfully deploy version 4.3. We anticipate this will take 1-2 weeks to complete, so we're hoping 4.3 is on GitHub no later than the 3rd of August. Several new features are available with version 4.3, including:
New Wait Time Measure from GDOT.
Left Turn Gap Analysis Report - this report is password protected.
Measure Default Settings - Allows for Admin users to change all the default settings in ATSPM.
Area and Jurisdiction Configuration - Includes map and metric filtering.
15-minute aggregation tables - Several tables and algorithms created/verified to aggregate the 1/10th second data into 15-minute bins.
Pedestrian Delay Metric - Reworked the metric so to add filtering by a time-lapse between pushbutton presses and other useful features.
Timing and Actuation Metric - Fixed and enhanced this metric so the pedestrian actuations show up correctly on non 1:1 pushbutton/phase relationships.
Left Turn Gap Analysis Metric - clarified chart text.
Posted speed limits - pulled them out from having them on a detector channel and placed it on the phase/direction.
Several bug fixes and enhancements.
Version 5.0
Please note that you will want to upgrade to version 4.3 before you upgrade to version 5.0 when it's ready.
Migrate from .NET Framework to .NET CORE and greatly improve the speed and robustness of ATSPMs.
The data logger will be greatly improved (it will be one of the 1st things deployed).
The 15-minute aggregation will be retrievable (similar to "Raw Data Export).
Data compression
Two new metrics (Time-Space Diagram & Green Time Utilization).
Several buzz words have been thrown around by our developers that this version may include parts of, including: "WCF going away", "Angular", "react query", "swagger", "OData Query", "Postman". No idea what this means but it sounds impressive.
We don't know when this will be ready; however parts of it have been in development for several months and since we are just wrapping up version 4.3, there are an additional 3 more developers to work on it.
