Preliminary checklist

  • I have read the README
  • I have read the FAQs.
  • I have searched existing issues for my feature request. This is a new issue (NOT a duplicate) and is not related to another issue.
  • I have searched wont fix issues and this request is not among them
  • This is a feature request for the Cromite browser; not the website nor F-Droid nor anything else.

Is your feature request related to privacy?

No

Is there a patch available for this feature somewhere?

If I understand correctly, armv7 is not supported because sysbox (also used by bromite?) does not support it.

But bromite is releasing armv7 builds.

Describe the solution you would like

I'm afraid I don't know.

Describe alternatives you have considered

Using bromite.

Bromite released armv7 builds. It hasn't received a new version since December 2022 (v108.0.5359.156)

It's possible to build Cromite for ARMV7 because other users have seemingly attempted (and succeeded?), but uazo's build system seems to be broken, so they can't release the ARMV7 build themselves, as seen here (#72). Bromite's releases are created by csagan5, not uazo (afaik), so that's why there's no ARMV7 build.

Supposedly sysbox received a fix 2 weeks ago, as seen here (350), so we'll see.
