Prerequisites

  • I verified that this is not a filter list issue. Report any issues with filter lists or broken website functionality in the uAssets issue tracker.
  • This is not a support issue or a question. For support, questions, or help, visit /r/uBlockOrigin.
  • I performed a cursory search of the issue tracker to avoid opening a duplicate issue.
  • The issue is not present after disabling uBO in the browser.
  • I checked the documentation to understand that the issue I am reporting is not normal behavior.

I tried to reproduce the issue when...

  • uBO is the only extension.
  • uBO uses default lists and settings.
  • using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

The following fork of uBO adds support for the following features in the popular Kiwi browser, which is the only chromium-based browser under Android that supports extensions at the moment:

uBO support for Kiwi under Android

From that site's webpage:

Some fixes and improvements for uBO on Kiwi:

  • Filter editor
  • Backup and Restore Settings
  • Element Zapper mode
  • Some UI improvement
  • Add some filter to the stock lists

Since the fork does not appear to be actively maintained anymore, but still works on the latest version of Kiwi under Android 13, is there any chance that this code could pulled upstream in order to keep uBO a viable option for users who need a chromium-based browser under Android?
