In the ruby file ( /var/canvas/lib/cc/importer/canvas/quiz_converter.rb:54 ), the erroring line is in a place where it's trying to open a file. That was confusing to me, i thought it was a file permissions issue initially. Actually it was a failure to launch python.
A user has reported that after installing the QTI import tool - importing QTI quizzes fails with a (particularly unhelpful) message of:
