Hello, I was wondering if this does what I am thinking it does. Long story short; the program ProxyCAP for windows ~ is the exact same functionality I am looking for in Linux! Basically ProxyCAP (for winblows) takes all outbound traffic and "forces" it to a specified proxy. I rely on this functionality to "force" programs/games that do not allow you to manually configure a proxy, or don't "obey" any "system wide" set proxies. IE: the game Guild Wars II (2) is actually a good example. There is no where to set a proxy, and it would not obey any "system wide" proxies either. So the only way to make it work (playable) is to use ProxyCAP (in the case of windows) to "force" it's traffic to my proxy, so that I can play!
Basic web browsing is not a big deal since most if not all web browsers allow you to configure a proxy, and/or use the system configured proxy settings...
More specifically, the functionality I seek is that all TCP traffic be 'intercepted' and sent to my proxy server @ 192.168.49.1:8282 & that all UDP traffic be 'intercepted' and sent to my proxy server @ 192.168.49.1:1089
Will "redir" and "uredir" provide this functionality ???
Looking at some of the 'notes' it looks like (if this is what it does / can do) I may have to set individual ports ; as where of course it would be ideal to have a "catch all" or a "wildcard" for All TCP traffic (on any port) to go to one specified proxy server, and any and all UDP traffic (on any port) to go to one specified proxy server...
