#23053 introduced a connector to Loki. It is fairly limited a needs the following improvements.

The step query parameter should be configurable. This requires a change in the Loki java client first.
Instead of parsing the JSON response the connector should consume the new Parquet response.
Configure Loki splits at day quanta #24839
Document connector.
