Things like "open the sidebar" are protected and can only be used if we can prove to Mozilla that the user really wanted to do that. It's hard to do that if e.g. the user wrote a script three years ago that said that the sidebar should be opened in exactly three months and one day, and is generally just a bit to very daft (closing the entire browser is fine. Opening the sidebar isn't).
