According to their license, we may need to declare that the database is from MaxMind when downloading the database, not sure if I missed anything but I didn't see we mention that anywhere.
Now there is GeoLite v2 there, seems to have no separated version for IPv4/v6, maybe we can also consider to migrate to GeoLite v2

i was expecting to have a more accurate ip2geo db/service, free of course
there is a little feature in utorrent, called uMap(?), displaying the location of every peer on a world map.
it's kind of interesting, but not that useful
Currently we use GeoLite Country database from MaxMind, they also have a IPv6 version here: http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoIPv6.dat.gz, we may consider to support for country resolving.
