I'm using Alchemist on Kubuntu 19.04. Setup worked fine for a couple of weeks, starting today the Alchemist Emacs menu is empty with no entries. The menu drops down, but contains no items.

There is something strange happening with Emacs and the buffers. I can get the menu items to reappear when I do the following:

  1. Launch Emacs and open an Elixir file
  2. Select the Alchemist menu (menu is empty)
  3. Modify the Elixir file and save.
  4. Select the Elixir file in the Buffers menu
  5. Now the Alchemist menu items are visible again
