Should really be possible... somehow... to build on Windows with mingw (or similar). I like Visual Studio, but it would be nice if it were possible to make a Windows build entirely using FOSS stuff.
Most of the code is gcc/clang friendly, so no problem there.
Any issues with the Windows-specific stuff will be fixable.
The dependencies might require tweaking. Maybe it'd be better to use the package manager for everything, like on Linux?
