Plugin doesn't remember branch on re-open

Describe the bug
The plugin doesn't remember the branch that was selected in the Branch Switcher on closing and re-opening the plugin.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open the plugin and connect to a remote storage
2. Switch the branch from the branch switcher
3. Close the plugin and reopen the plugin
4. The plugin does not remember the new branch and switches back to the default branch defined in the Token Storage credentials

Expected behavior
The plugin should remember the branch that was selected from the branch switcher.
