Converted from SourceForge issue 2977462, submitted by SourceForge user maxxess on 2010-03-27 09:27:24 UTC.

File -> print == Unable to print: no print plugins are active!
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "gourmet\exporters\printer.pyo", line 76, in print_recipes
File "gourmet\exporters\printer.pyo", line 15, in init
NotImplementedError

When trying to untick and then reselect plugin Print & PDF export:
ImportError: No module named poppler

You may need to install additional python packages for this module to work properly. If you have a package management system on your computer, use it to search for a package containing "poppler", such as "python-poppler" or "poppler"

I am using Win7 x64 and Gourmet 0.15.4.
Can I resolve this myself? One really need to print recipies from time to time...

I thought I saw a comment somewhere about this but I was not sure where.
Found it now in c:\Program Files (x86)\Gourmet\documentation\README. My apologies...

Case closed. (but I wish for printing support soon)

printing doesn't work on windows right now - it's in the readme i think. the poppler library isn't ported yet.

While there seems to have been some success in porting pypoppler to Windows (see this bug report), we probably should be more independent of external dependecies (that in case of pypoppler aren't very actively maintained) for such a crucial feature as printing (see "The Other Future" section in Printer Plugin Design).

Should be fixed (or worked around) by 3001c4b
