Preflight Checklist

  • I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
  • I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.

Problem Description

Tray icon could use some work. It currently provides no info and is static. Bunch of other players like AIMP or VLC have better presentation.

Proposed Solution

Some improvements could be made:

  • add current song title to tooltip on hover - to quickly check what's playing
  • change icon depending on playing status - playing/paused - this would help to know quicker if it's supposed to play on your device(s)
