Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

A user or workflow problem. It's not a solution to a bug.

Describe the solution you'd like

Currently, users can add Left, Center, and Right alignment horizontally along the x-axis within a cell; horizontal alignment. Below is a screenshot of buttons provided by Advanced Tables to apply horizontal alignment within a cell.

Ideally, Top and Bottom alignment vertically along the y-axis within a cell; vertical alignment. Examples can be found in most sheet related tools like Microsoft Excel and OnlyOffice Spreadsheets.

Describe alternatives you've considered

The Sheets Extended plugin. They allow users to apply vertical alignment through CSS directly above the table (along with changing the border and color of text). It's all stored within a code block and it uses the standard markdown table format. The standard markdown table format gets super messy when you use a single LaTeX equation, have long or many sentences within a single markdown cell, or many rows and columns. The solution for that is to disable line wrapping through a CSS script (script option 1 and a discussion of the horizontal scroll issue with code blocks and CSS scripts to band-aid it).

Additional context

I'm surprised there aren't any comments in the documentation, discussions, or feature requests on this. I might have missed it though.
