I'm testing https://www.w3.org/2010/05/video/mediaevents.html on Ubuntu 18.10. Audio and video are fine. This https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlPoCtSK32A also works.

well these videos are fine here too, maybe is that video problem?
or the google trying to push me to chrome?

Try changing the user agent string (Settings -> Web) to something from https://developers.whatismybrowser.com/useragents/explore/software_name/chrome/.
