Why is it worth to add this package?

Run containers (using virtual machines) without much effort.

Works out of the box, perfect for VM orchestration with QEMU without having to type long commands with virtio.

Some hiccups I've encountered however:

  • There are hardcoded paths like /etc/resolv.conf though it does use its own DNS fallback which the internet works. So far VM works, but I'm not sure if there are more issues I'd encounter later on
  • Most templates have nonexistent 9p share which is /tmp/lima is being mounted.
  • From the comment above containing the build.sh snippet, qemu x86_64 and aarch64 should be a dependency, otherwise it would fail to start VM. I believe it only support these two arches?
