secure way to get data out of tpot - API?

hi,
i've been using tpot for years.. great system.. but its kinda a closed system.. and opening it up (as far as I can tell) to query ES or just have access to the data .. kinda opens that access up to the world..

is there a better approach without really messing with the reliable ES container already there?

what about something like an API you could query, that would require a token/username/password etc? i think it could be done pretty easily with another docker container and something like FastAPI?
