Dionaea - Bistreams

I've noticed these streams of data consistently being accessed by attackers rapidly. The message lengths are always sporadic too, like 1KB, 500 bytes, or even 13 MB. Does anyone have any resources to help understand what this is collecting or how to read it for myself? I feel like there's a good bit of knowledge in here, I'm missing out on.
