Am I the only one getting this error?

Hmm not sure why it would be saying that, the function definitely still exists:

Double check that you've installed all the dependencies properly...

I see in the README go get ...ssrf-sheriff instead of go install, probably it's the go version, it is intended to be used with old go versions.
