Hangups recently stopped working 90% of the time #500

Hangups has become unusable as of about 2 weeks ago approximately.
Somtimes I can send a few messages, other times it crashes and other times it says "failed to send message"
I have tried on Debian and Arch, doesn't seem to be distribution specific.
Not sure what is going on my I now have crashes all the time with hangups and lots of this is the log:
