A few issues regarding the CoC as it stands and clarifications we must make ASAP:
issues:
Only members of the Code of Conduct Committee and possibly the Ecma ExeCom, will receive the reports.
We need to clarify under what circumstances the ExeCom will receive reports. There are currently six people in the ExeCom. The CoC is too hand-wavy in this regard. At the very least, we must stipulate that this can be avoided upon request, in the same way that we permit a report to be sent to just one individual of the CoC committee. Of course, excluding the ExeCom could preclude a certain redress. In addition, the conflict of interest section must be amended to reflect that there may be a conflict beyond the CoC committee -- for example, the TC39 chair group and/or ExeCom, and what process is followed in such cases.
If you believe someone is violating the Code of Conduct, we ask that you report it by emailing [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]).
We need to be absolutely clear on who is seeing these reports, and should be addressed in tandem with the above point.
