Guidance on sending SmartThings API Commands #711

Is there a way to send these commands?

I would like to directly set the input using the "setInputSource" or activate an app using the "launchApp" command.

how would I add these to the config.json for a switch?

here's some of the suggestions I found, not sure how to implement.
