Have non-brushed lines of another color? #350

Is it possible to grey out non-brushed lines like in the example below ?
So that it will not simple fade them out in their original color.

I can not seem to get it working properly.

This image is generated by making all lines black and then brush but this is ofcourse not a usable option.
