When applying the patches/updates released on 11/14/2024 for RHEL9. There is a update for httpd that is resolving in the web browser to display an error when attempting to access the sympa website

Version

6.2.72

Installation method

RPM

Expected behavior

After applying a linux patch/update for httpd the sympa application website should be operational

Actual behavior

After applying Linux patches/updates for httpd and its supporting dependencies, the Sympa application web interface began displaying the error.

Error: Bad request 404
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.

Steps to reproduce

We installed all the patches and updates and encountered the issue described above. To troubleshoot, we restored the system and applied each patch/update individually, testing website access after each one.

After extensive testing, we identified the httpd package and its supporting dependencies as the root cause of the problem.

Below is a image of a list of the patches/updates in question:

We eventually installed all the other patches and updates, excluding the httpd patch/update, and everything functioned as expected.

Not sure, if anyone else is experiencing this issue with the new patch/update for httpd.
