Great job guys as Junior and Cesare said you managed to make huge awesome work!

Networking party was very good and I know that it's not that easy but developers are (basically) shy ppl so having time to meet, chat and Q&A is always something good.

I would share with you an idea: work in moving the pre-party the day before the conference in order to let ppl to make networking even before the starting.

On day-2, after the party, it showed up that ppl had more connections and were more open in chatting with attendees met the day before.

That's all. Let me say great work again... and let's see next year in Lugano!

I am going to reply immediately because I am fresh and I have some points about this:

This is, to be honest, something I already thought about... it makes sense, but requires a place and a venue which is super easy to reach (like the 2 mins by train from airport in Zürich last year), because then people have to arrive early the day before. Having a place like Lausanne made most of the people (a lot of speakers included), to arrive late the night before the event, because of flight+ train, so it's hard to manage a party considering most people are not still arrived and having a party with just part of the attendees is a little bit sad... but! Considering Lugano requires some efforts for people traveling from abroad and the fact that there are some cool opportunities there, it something we can definitely evaluate and try to inform people to arrive early the day before. Unfortunately, Lugano is not (anymore) the most friendly nightlife place, so finding a place for a party on Sunday evening might be hard, but your feedback is definitely great.

I do agree with both of you and probably it's not an easy problem to solve. Even though the networking is better after having a small party, I would be disappointed if I miss it because it's on the day before the conference starts and I'm still arriving or what not.
So, if you are planning to have the party on the night before the conference, I would make sure that everybody knows about that from the start (like they have special socializing events at UIKonf on the day before the conference, but it's already like a kind of programm).

Absolutely! That would be planned way in advance. This year, the last minute was due to the fact that we initially wanted to do something at Les Archer:

but the weather wasn't that good for this kind of event, it was still not warm enough...

Next year we will manage to have a proper place and planning way in advance.
