Sometimes there are spaces after romaji before kana, sometimes not.
For example,
(no space between “dplyr” and に, but there is a space between “tidyr” and に)
We took a vote during our last meeting and decided to standardize to include a space.
This style should be used going forward (and needs to be added to the translator guidelines).
But we should also fix these in all translations to date. It would preferable to do this with sed or similar.
