Unable to add DAGMC Plug-In on Cubit #158
Comments
Coreform Cubit now includes the plugin as a part of it's normal distribution, but you may need to activate it. You should no longer have to download and install it yourself. |
I follow the instructions there, but it doesn't work for me. Here's a detailed summary of the actions I take:

That looks like it might be a sign of success? @pshriwise ? |
I've also run into this issue. I'm using Coreform Cubit 2025.1 on Windows 11 Pro (Version 24H2). The README for the plugin states there should be multiple parameters that can be specified when using the export command, as seen below. I've followed the same steps as @BlondArrow72 but am getting the exact same output. Interesting that cubit still recognizes the DAGMC plugin and can export files using it. Although in my experience, the resulting files have no facets, so it seems using the plugin like this is not viable. |
Newer versions of Coreform Cubit should come with DAGMC capability installed and you shouldn't need this plugin. |
I downloaded the DAGMC plugin and extracted it on my Linux machine. I go into the "Tools" and "Plugins..." tab, then click "Add" to add the folder location. When I go to test the functionality of the plugin my typing
help dagmc
in the terminal, the only function that appears isexport dagmc <filename> [overwrite]
. How do I properly install the plugin? Im using Ubuntu 24.20, Coreform Cubit 2024.3, and I downloaded and extracted the "svalinn-plugin_ubuntu-22.04_cubit_2022.4" file for reference.
