I live in China and tried opening a new wallet the other day and I couldn't see the entire re-captcha field, if you pressed 'Submit' then the 'sending' state would basically keep hanging forever with no error message shown at any time. I happen to be in Korea this week so I just saw the captcha field now.

Basically no Google API will work in China when not using a VPN.

Just wanted to point it out, it's the kind of stuff you're not necessarily aware of unless you live here. 😄

Thanks for pointing this out! We'll look into it. Is there an alternate captcha you would recommend that would work in China?

You're welcome. From a quick google search, perhaps this could work: https://www.npmjs.com/package/ccap

It's unfortunate but if you make any parts of the website dependent on a Google, Facebook or Twitter API, you get caught up in their local blockage.

Wrote a little article on the topic: https://medium.com/what-youll-find-in-china/how-to-make-your-website-run-beyond-the-great-firewall-3d90ecc950ac

Also as a side note, whatever you do, do not start using Cloudflare as an alternative. That's really a horrible service for users in China. 😄
